Cosmetic Nurse Consultation

Home › Consultations

Whether you’re exploring cosmetic treatment for the first time or simply want guidance on your options, a Cosmetic Nurse Consultation is the place to start.

Our clinical nursing team takes the time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and explain the pathway ahead. This first, in-person consultation is where we get to know you and your circumstances — there is no obligation, and nothing is offered or sold at this stage.

If an option that requires a prescription may be appropriate for you, a further consultation with a supervising doctor — usually conducted by telehealth, or in person where preferred — is arranged to confirm suitability before any treatment takes place.

What Can I Expect During My Consultation?

From the moment you arrive, our team is focused on making you feel comfortable, informed and supported.

Your appointment begins with a conversation about your concerns and goals. Our clinical nursing team will explain what may be possible in general terms, and, if relevant, what a further consultation with a supervising doctor would involve.

Nothing is offered or provided at this stage — this consultation is about understanding your circumstances and answering your questions, not about performing treatment.

What Happens After Treatment?

If you go on to have treatment following a consultation with a supervising doctor, it is normal to experience some temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or sensitivity in the treated area.

These responses vary from person to person and generally settle over time. Your supervising doctor will discuss what to expect before you leave and provide personalised aftercare guidance.

If you have any concerns at any point after treatment, please call our clinical team — we will arrange a follow-up consultation.

Following your consultation, you will receive clear, personalised information — and you are always welcome to call and speak with our clinical team if anything changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Preparing is simple. We recommend arriving with clean skin where possible and letting our team know about any medications, allergies, medical conditions or recent cosmetic treatments. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy, please let us know before your appointment.

The nurse consultation is an initial, in-person conversation to understand your concerns. If an option that requires a prescription may be appropriate, a separate consultation with a supervising doctor — usually by telehealth — confirms suitability and, if appropriate, a prescription before any treatment takes place.

Consultation length varies by individual circumstances and is confirmed when you book. There is no set treatment time discussed on this website, as it depends entirely on what is agreed at your consultation.

Certain circumstances, including pregnancy and breastfeeding, are assessed individually at consultation and may exclude you from particular treatments. Please tell our team as early as possible.

Call our clinical team at any time. We will arrange a follow-up consultation to review your concerns.
